Singapore Mahjong Special Hands

Explore the special winning hands supported by this Singapore Mahjong game and how their tai totals interact with normal scoring and payout caps.

Configured special-hand totals

  • Tian Hu, Di Hu, Men Hu, Big Three Dragons, Da Xi Si, Qi Qiang Yi, and similar limit hands use their configured special totals.
  • Hua Hu is 12 tai.
  • Thirteen Wonders is 13 tai.
  • Shi Ba Luo Han is 18 tai.
  • Kan Kan Hu is an 8-tai special and requires the additional Zi Mo tai, for 9 tai total.

Special hands do not stack ordinary patterns

When a special hand is detected, the result screen reports the special hand instead of adding ordinary Wind Pung, Dragon Pung, Flush, or similar pattern entries on top. Valid tai from Animals and seat-matched Flowers or Seasons remains visible in the breakdown.

Important special-hand restrictions

  • Thirteen Wonders requires the terminal and honor pattern with its duplicate and no exposed melds.
  • Big Three Dragons requires all three dragon sets in a legal winning hand.
  • Da Xi Si requires all four wind sets.
  • Kan Kan Hu requires a Zi Mo with four unexposed natural Pungs and concealed eyes.
  • Shi Ba Luo Han requires four Kongs and the final eyes.

Special caps

Caps Max Tai for Special is separate from the ordinary Max Cap Tai setting. When enabled, it limits the payout row for special hands to the selected value up to 18 tai. When disabled, the special hand uses its full configured tai row.
